Frequently Asked Questions
What Exactly Does Comprehensive Wealth Management Look Like At Resilient Wealth Planning?
We look at your entire financial ecosystem, not just your stock portfolio. Our team designs holistic strategies that cover retirement income generation, tax-efficient investing, estate and legacy planning, and risk mitigation, including life and long-term care insurance. To give you total clarity, we also run deep-dive cash flow analyses and stress-test your portfolio against unexpected life events so you always know where you stand.
How Do You Approach Managing My Portfolio?
We handle your investments through continuous, active monitoring and strategic rebalancing. To keep your assets secure and accessible, we partner with industry-leading custodians, National Financial Services (NFS) and Pershing.
We believe you should always know exactly what you own. That is why we prioritize transparent, high-quality investments like dividend-paying stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and bond funds. For qualified investors looking for advanced growth avenues, we also provide access to alternative investments and private equity solutions.
What Is The Core Investment Philosophy At Resilient Wealth Planning?
We do not chase flash-in-the-pan market trends or gamble on high-risk bets. Our philosophy is anchored in disciplined, evidence-based, globally diversified investing tailored to your specific timeline and comfort level. We focus on building rock-solid portfolios comprised of quality companies that deliver real-world value. Our goal is to help you pursue reliable, tax-efficient wealth growth through a controlled, steady approach.
Do I Have To Live Near Your Office To Work Together?
Not at all. While we love meeting face to face, we partner with clients nationwide by video. Whether you are down the street or in a different time zone, our virtual meetings make it easy to share data, review your plan, and stay connected.
Who Is Your Ideal Client?
We do our best work for clients facing complex financial puzzles. Typically, this includes:
- Generation X families focused on mapping out their transition into retirement.
- Busy business owners and corporate executives who need coordinated strategies to optimize corporate benefits, particularly Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPPs).
How Are Your Services Priced?
We believe in absolute transparency, with no hidden costs.
- Our comprehensive financial planning begins with a one-year Financial Planning Engagement (FPE), starting at $4,750, which includes an onboarding fee and a monthly subscription.
- If you choose to have us manage your investments, we waive the monthly subscription fee and transition to a fee structure based on a percentage of Assets Under Management (AUM) or a fixed project retainer.
Do You Have An Asset Minimum For New Clients?
Our clients typically have $2 million to $10 million in investable assets, which lets us deliver highly personalized, attentive service. However, we frequently make exceptions for:
- High-earning young professionals or entrepreneurs with strong growth potential.
- Individuals referred to us by our existing clients or trusted professional partners, such as CPAs and attorneys.
How Can I Tell If My Current Advisor Is A True Fiduciary?
The easiest way is to ask a pointed question: are you legally required to act in my best interest 100% of the time, in writing? If the answer involves caveats, switching hats, or different account types, they are likely not acting as a full-time fiduciary.
Is There A Difference Between A Financial Planner And A Fiduciary Advisor?
Yes. Think of it this way: every fiduciary advisor at Resilient Wealth Planning is a comprehensive financial planner, but not every financial planner in the industry is a fiduciary. The difference lies in the legal obligation. We are legally bound to put your interests ahead of our own, while regular planners are often only held to a suitability standard.
Does Hiring A Fiduciary Advisor Cost More?
While fiduciary fees can sometimes look higher on paper because they are stated upfront, they are often more cost-effective in the long run. Non-fiduciary advisors frequently hide their compensation inside commissions and opaque product fees. With a fiduciary, you get full transparency, which minimizes conflicts of interest and supports better long-term value for your wealth.
